1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using RentDraft ("Platform", "we", "us", "our"), you ("User", "you") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Platform.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
2. What RentDraft Is
RentDraft is a document automation platform that allows users to generate rental agreement documents based on information they provide. RentDraft formats your inputs into a structured document using AI-powered technology.
RentDraft is NOT: a law firm, legal service, legal advice provider, registered advocate, or legal practitioner. RentDraft does not practice law, does not provide legal advice, and does not create an attorney-client relationship with any user.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into contracts under Indian law to use RentDraft. By using the Platform, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.
4. How the Platform Works
- You provide information about your rental arrangement through our form (names, address, rent amount, duration, state, etc.).
- Our AI-powered system generates a rental agreement document based on your inputs and publicly available state rental provisions.
- You preview the generated document before payment.
- Upon payment, you download the document as a print-ready PDF.
You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of all information you provide. RentDraft formats your inputs — it does not verify them.
5. No Legal Advice
RentDraft provides general information about common rental agreement provisions. This information is not legal advice. Specifically:
- The documents generated are based on your inputs and publicly available legal provisions.
- "What this means" summaries are plain-language simplifications for informational purposes only — not legal interpretations.
- Custom clauses are AI-generated based on your plain-language input and may contain errors.
- State-specific provisions are based on publicly available information and may not reflect the most recent amendments.
- Stamp duty amounts shown are indicative and may not be current.
We strongly recommend independent legal review by a qualified advocate before executing any agreement generated through RentDraft, especially for high-value or complex arrangements.
6. AI-Generated Content Disclosure
Documents and clauses generated by RentDraft are created using artificial intelligence (Claude API by Anthropic). AI-generated content:
- May contain errors, inaccuracies, or omissions.
- May not reflect the most recent legal changes or amendments.
- Should be reviewed carefully before use.
- Does not constitute professional or legal advice.
7. User Responsibilities
By using RentDraft, you agree that:
- You are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy of all information you input.
- You are solely responsible for reviewing all generated content before execution.
- You will print the generated document on appropriate stamp paper as required by your state.
- You will obtain signatures from all parties to make the document legally effective.
- You will comply with all applicable registration requirements in your state.
- You will not use RentDraft to generate fraudulent, illegal, or misleading agreements.
- You have the right to provide the other party's information (e.g., landlord/tenant details) for the purpose of generating the document.
- You will seek independent legal review for complex situations.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to use RentDraft to:
- Generate agreements for illegal purposes or containing illegal terms.
- Create fraudulent documents or misrepresent property ownership.
- Include clauses that waive statutory tenant rights (which are void under applicable Rent Control Acts).
- Generate agreements containing discriminatory terms.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract our AI prompts or templates.
- Abuse, overload, or interfere with the Platform's operation.
9. Pricing and Payment

All prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) and include applicable taxes. Payments are processed securely through Razorpay. RentDraft does not store your payment card information.
Annual Pass Auto-Renewal
The Annual Pass renews automatically at the end of each 12-month period. You will be notified before renewal. You may cancel auto-renewal at any time through your account or by contacting us at support@rentdraft.in.
10. Refund Policy
- Full refund if the PDF fails to generate due to a platform error.
- Full refund if payment is charged but no document is delivered.
- No refund after successful PDF download, as the digital good has been delivered.
- No refund for user input errors — you are responsible for reviewing the preview before payment.
Refund requests must be made within 7 days of purchase by emailing support@rentdraft.in. Approved refunds will be processed within 5–7 business days to the original payment method.
11. Intellectual Property
- The RentDraft name, logo, website design, code, marketing copy, and AI prompts are the intellectual property of RentDraft.
- Generated agreement documents are based on your inputs — you own the content of your generated documents.
- You may not reproduce, distribute, or sell RentDraft's templates, prompts, or system design.
12. Limitation of Liability
Please read this section carefully.
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- RentDraft provides the Platform and all generated documents "as is" and "as available", without any warranty of any kind — express, implied, or statutory.
- RentDraft does not warrant that generated documents are legally valid, enforceable, complete, or fit for any particular purpose.
- RentDraft's total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Platform is limited to the amount you paid for the specific transaction giving rise to the claim.
- RentDraft shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of business, or legal costs.
- RentDraft is not a party to any rental agreement generated through the Platform and has zero obligation to mediate, arbitrate, or resolve any disputes between landlords and tenants.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RentDraft, its founders, officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:
- Your use of the Platform.
- Any agreement generated through the Platform.
- Your breach of these Terms.
- Any dispute between you and the other party to a generated agreement.
- Any third-party claim related to information you provided.
14. Third-Party Services
RentDraft uses the following third-party services to operate:
- Anthropic (Claude API) — AI-powered document generation
- Razorpay — Payment processing
- Vercel — Website hosting
- Supabase — Transaction logging
- Resend — Email delivery
These services have their own terms and privacy policies. RentDraft is not responsible for the practices of third-party service providers.
15. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time, without notice, if you violate these Terms or engage in abusive, fraudulent, or illegal conduct. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately.
16. Dispute Resolution
Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be resolved through arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. The seat of arbitration shall be New Delhi, India. The language of arbitration shall be English.
Before initiating arbitration, both parties agree to attempt resolution through direct communication for a period of 30 days.
17. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to the arbitration clause above, the courts of New Delhi shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes.

In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000, and the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, grievances may be directed to:

19. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
20. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Refund & Cancellation Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and RentDraft regarding your use of the Platform.
