RentDraft is a digital document automation platform. When you pay, you receive an instantly generated PDF — a digital good that cannot be "returned" once delivered. This policy is designed to be fair to you while reflecting the nature of digital delivery.
This policy complies with the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, and RBI guidelines on transaction reversals.
Understanding our process is important for understanding our refund policy:
The preview-before-pay model exists so you know exactly what you are paying for. There are no surprises after payment.
You are entitled to a full refund in the following situations — no questions asked:

We will acknowledge your request within 48 hours and communicate our decision within 5 business days of receiving all required information.
Approved refunds are initiated within 2 business days of approval. The time for the refund to reflect in your account depends on your payment method (see Section 6).
Once we approve and initiate your refund, the time for the amount to reach your account depends on your payment method and your bank:

Refunds are always credited to the original payment method used for the purchase. We cannot refund to a different account, card, or UPI ID.
These timelines are governed by RBI guidelines (RBI/2019-20/67) and your bank's processing times. If your refund is delayed beyond these timelines, contact your bank first, then reach out to us.
All refund requests must be submitted within 7 days of the date of purchase. Requests received after 7 days will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis but are not guaranteed.
Exception: duplicate charge claims can be raised within 30 days of the transaction.

All prices on RentDraft are displayed in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of applicable taxes. There are no hidden fees.

Stamp duty, e-stamping fees, and registration charges are government costs separate from RentDraft's service fee. We display indicative stamp duty amounts but these are not included in our pricing and are not refundable by us.
If your payment fails but your account is debited:
Per RBI guidelines, failed transaction reversals must be completed within T+5 business days for card and UPI payments. Banks that exceed this timeline are liable for compensation of ₹100/day to the customer.
If you initiate a chargeback through your bank or card issuer instead of contacting us first:
